Tempted To Say

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

So it’s been 2 months since I have sat down and made some music! Today I spent 3 hours creating an experimental song inspired by the band Puscifer. Take a listen to Tempted To Say

I am hoping to get something Christmassy out to you all before Christmas so you have some Hania tunes to listen to over the holiday break, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen as I’m struggling to find time to create anything these days!

I’ve cut my album down to a mini-album and should be releasing that when I’ve finalized the mastering.

Epic stuff.

I turned 25 today.

That’s basically all that I have to update.

Until next time, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

All Things New in September 2010

Monday, September 13th, 2010

The game Alice is Dead 3 is out so make sure you go play it! Very cool game and very cool people to have worked with. The music that I made for it is up on Newgrounds.com for all to hear if you’re keen.

The 24 animation in 24 hours challenge is done and it was AMAZING!!! The community that came to support us were awesome! We met a whole bunch of great people with fantastic ideas and they really helped with the process :)

So thanks to everyone that came to watch! You really did help!!!

We didn’t have space to mention what animations everyone inspired, so here’s the list:

Hobo with Balloons – Garenarussion

Bean boy terrorises city – FunnyHB

Banana Time Machine – oOTheForsakenOneOo

Pie in face & Explodes – KillswitchParadox

Revenge of the Taco – KillswitchParadox

Explosion Runner – (started off as shark with sunglasses – JonBro)
(then turned into the guy being an explosions with sunglasses – Crapatflash_CS)
(then turned into the guy running from an explosion – KillswitchParadox)

Computer Eats Cow – tontie777

Zombie Muffin – Danny

Space Ship – (Started off being Aliens – Trixen (Brendan Barry-Cotter))
(then the idea of spiders came about – SatanicGoomba)

Butterfly – Grimaldo

Head Shot – (Started off as tomato sauce – Eammy)
(Turned into hot sauce – Danny)

Voice acting for the Toast & Cloud animations – Trixen (Brendan Barry-Cotter)

Here’s some art that I really liked (and remembered to write the link down). I know there were others that drew while we were doing this, so if you have a link, let me know and I’ll post it up here too :)

What’s next? Well, I’ve got 3 projects that I have to finish without delay so I’m going to go off into my cave and do them. After that, 2 albums to finish and a Christmas Album as December is almost upon us!

Another thank you to all who came to support us! We’ll be doing this again for sure! :)

The music was so much fun to make too! While juggling reading the chat and helping James out with ideas and what-not, (getting food and coffee…) I managed to create 25 pieces of music, varying in mood for each animation James was creating. Only 24 were used, but I’ve collated them all (as well as the intro and credit music) and they’re available here to download :)

If you’re in the mood to donate to my music fund that helps me continue making music throughout my days, here’s the button of joy!

24 Animations in 24 Hours

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Save the Date! Saturday 11th September 2010. 8am Australian Eastern Standard Time. Check at the bottom of the post for times in other places.

We did a run of tests last night and figured out that it’s do-able. Just. heh. I think the hardest thing will be staying awake. I’m keen to see what strange and fucked up thing we churn out on that 24th hour…

But how to make it so everyone can see what we’re doing, during those 24 hours?
Answer: Stickam.com

Head to the below account to watch as we give you lots to look at – Our room as well as James and his Cintiq so you can see everything that he is drawing, as he’s drawing it!

http://www.stickam.com/24in24

We really want people to get involved in this too – so if you happen to be on stickam while we’re attempting this 24 hour marathon of animations, then yell out some ideas! We’d gladly incorporate whatever sounds good and will credit you at the end as a source of inspiration :D Try not to think of anything too vulgar or obscene though.

Here’s a pic I drew this morning for shits and giggles.

After we’ve completed the 24 hour session of madness, we’ll put all the animations together and be posting them online for all to see.

Just to confirm – James will be doing the visuals, I’ll be doing the music and we’ll both voice act if need be.

As I mentioned earlier, we did a test run last night – here’s a still of one of the animations we did:

See you when we see you!!

Here are some random places (and what time it will be at these places) when it’s 8am in Australia.

Poland – Midnight between the 10th and 11th September

UK – 11pm, 10th September

Los Angeles – 3pm, 10th September

Philadelphia – 6pm, 10th September

France – Midnight between the 10th and 11th September

Chicago – 5pm, 10th September

If you’re not at the above – check out The World Clock Time Converter to figure out when you need to be glued to the screen ;) We’re in Australia – Brisbane.

Song – Tormented Heart

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

This is going to be a short post because I am so incredibly busy with a whole bunch of stuff so I’ll bullet point the updates :)

  • Within  2 days, I composed this new song called “Tormented Heart”. Go take a listen and let me know what you think.
  • I’ll touch base on the upcoming album titled “LITTLE” once again as the newest song ‘Tormented Heart’ has the same sound as the songs in the album.
  • Tarboy.com is getting a spring cleaning and from what my sources tell me, the store with the Tarboy Shirts is finally going to be up and running.

It’s all happening here in the Lee house!

I’ll leave you with a photo (blurry as it may be) of my new Adam A5X Speaker that is currently my musical savior. Yes, he’s sitting on a yellow pages book. I needed that extra height ;)

Red Light City

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Take a listen to my newest addition to the Newgrounds Audio Portal: Red Light City.

Yes, it was made in the spirit of Tarboy.
Yes, all you Tarboy fans should be excited and;
Yes, we now see the light at the end of the tunnel…

Another piece of good news is that I have been secretly working on an album called LITTLE. I am aiming for it to be released sooner rather than later! It consists of 7 songs, all relating to one another. I won’t spoil the plot of this story telling album, so you’ll just have to take a listen when it comes out :)

Philadelphia Trip 2010

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

So we’ve come back from a 2 week trip in Philadelphia with a 1 day break in New York and many days spent in New Jersey.

Here are some photos:

James and I started off at the Brisbane Airport – awaiting our first flight to LAX.

After our second flight into Philadelphia, we head to Newgrounds which we called home for the next 2 weeks.

While at Newgrounds, we did a whole bunchload of stuff with a whole bunchload of awesome people at a bunchload of places.

Here are the photos relating to a range of activities we did:

Spot the pirate hat to find me in this cluster of awesome tubing people!

And here is some food that we consumed (or at least tried to)

And then Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey

( The big green one in the background is Kingda Ka. )

And some pics of James and I in various places

Then some of just me

And at the Philadelphia airport on the way home…

What an amazing trip.  James and I are already keen to jump back on the plane and head over again next year if things allow for it!
