Heading to the USA

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Most awesome news EVER! James and I are heading to the USA – Philadelphia and New York to be exact!! Oh, and of course – for all those Roller Coaster Fans – Yes, we’re going to Six Flags Great Adventure. Must ride Kingda Ka.

The super cool thing is that we’re going to be at Newgrounds for Robot Day! Not really sure what is happening at NG on Robot Day, but it’s awesome that we get to be there!

I can honestly not wait to get out of this freezing cold that Brisbane is having at the moment – my fingers are so sore from the cold, it’s stupid. So blue skies, warm, sunny days… water parks, broadway, coasters, Newgrounds everything, Cheese Steaks! (read a lot about those), galleries, shows…

As you can tell, I can’t wait.

In music news, I’ve just finished a song for the upcoming game Alice is Dead 3 by Mike(ImpendingRiot) and Hyptosis from Newgrounds. So that song will be uploaded to NGAP as soon as I’m given the go-ahead from the guys. I’ll link that when it happens.

In the mean time, go check out their first 2 AiD games:

I leave this post with a POV of Kingda Ka…

Quick Update 6/6/2010

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

Hey, I thought I should update this blog quickly to let you all in on what is happening.

1. James and I bought a house – it’s awesome!

2. Check out my new submissions on Newgrounds:

3. I’m making a song for Robot Day – it’s sounds pretty sweet so far. It will be uploaded to Newgrounds within the week so if you’re making something for Robot Day and want some music, feel free to use the song if you like it.

4. The Ballgina Safari video clip is finished and about to be uploaded – I’ll post the link when it’s up on Youtube & NG.

5. I’m considering setting up group and private singing lessons for those who want to learn how to sing (via skype) – at the moment, it’s in ‘test mode’ so I need a few volunteers (guinea pigs really) to be my online students so I can work out a curriculum  –  if you’re interested, shoot me through an email hania.lee@hotmail.com

That’s not all, but I’ll leave it here. Next update will be with a link to BGS and a link to the Robot Day song.

BG Video Clip

Joke Songs. They’re one of the things that I really enjoy making. Take a look at Popstar and Roller Coaster Junkie for previous work. James Lee created the animation for these.

At the end of last year, I decided to make a song about a Ballgina Safari. The video clip is being animated by Curtis Richardson-Smith. He’s a good friend that found the song entertaining and decided to have a go at making it come to life ;)

Following are some screen shots from the animation so far.

Basically, it’s about men who don’t know what size of pants to wear.

The poor things then acquire a  bulge called a Ballgina. I’ll leave the breakdown of the word to your imagination.

Within the story, there are these 2 guys that go hunting for people (and other things…) with Ballgina’s. So we follow them and see what they see.

All in all, I’m really excited to be finally uploading screen shots and disclosing some of the info to you all. It’s been a few months in the making but it’s all coming together nicely :)

MWA + Hania – Wounded Love

Monday, February 1st, 2010

A few weeks ago, someone wanted to collaborate with me – they gave me music and I came up with lyrics, melody, harmony and sang it. MWA heard the vocals and liked them so he decided to make another collab using the same vocals :)

It’s called MWA + Hania – Wounded Love

Check it out cause it’s pretty cool.

Collaboration – Love of Marion

Love of Marion (Collab with BOSA)

It’s so different going about getting an already-made track and adding vocals to it. I’m so used to being in control of every aspect of a track from start to finish. However, I really enjoy creating lyrics based on what I feel from the music & descriptions given to me – and it’s rather relaxing to be able to simply sing to something and call it a day.

There is a lot that I’ve been involved in this month, some of it great, some not so-great. However,  by getting involved in these types of collaborations, I’ve stumbled across a wide range of people that would not have normally listened to my music – and now do. So my tip to gaining more exposure is to involve yourself with as many different (and fun) collaborations as you can!

Enjoy!
