Get ready for the awesome!

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Ballgina Safari is almost complete. Curtis came round this morning so he, James and I could think up the finishing touches to the video clip and it looks really sweet.  :D

The rest of the album is nearing completion – just need to sing a few things and then we’re into mixing & mastering and bada-bing, bada-boom we’re done! Should be ready to upload to itunes etc next Friday.

I have decided on an album name (drum roll) …  Cuddle  PUNCH!  The word ‘Cuddle‘ is for the girls, and the word ‘Punch‘ is for the men. Everyone wins!

The mushroom is watching you.

Just to let you know, I’m updating the way this blog looks over the next day or so, so excuse any weirdness that may come from it.

Inflatable Man

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

So here’s another update for that ’silly album’ of mine – still not sure what to call it. I have a few ideas on the album title but nothing has been set in stone (which is kind of bad as James Lee is designing the cover art and needs to know!)

I thought I’d update you with a snip of a song called

Inflatable Man.

My favorite line is “All he could do was flap his arms and his torso” … I laugh every time… it’s great being able to amuse myself.

So for all those who don’t know what an inflatable man is, here’s a pic:

AK 47

Part of my silly album – however, a very fun song to make and sing!

The song was created in an evening of hysterical laughter with James and myself as we drove to and from dinner. Some of the best things are made in the car…

Take a listen:  AK 47

… Like this photo… I know that the gun isn’t an AK 47, but I don’t own one – and this is the closest thing I have to a working gun. It sits in my car so if I feel the urge to squirt people with stale water, I can.

The Silly Things

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

As well as doing my 2010 album and making the video clip for Fear and War, I’m also putting together a silly album of all those silly songs that just pop out while I relax every now and then :)

I’m remaking ‘Popstar‘ which was animated by James Lee a while ago and ended up winning an international animation competition called Aniboom Eyedol. I’ve also got ‘BallGina Safari‘ (being animated by Curtis Richardson-Smith), ‘Caterpillar’, ‘Ferrari’, ‘Inflatable Man’ and ‘Roller Coaster Junkie‘ (another already animated by James Lee).

Here are some sweet screenshots:

Popstar

RCJ (Roller Coaster Junkie)

BGS (BallGina Safari)

Unfortunately I don’t have any screenshots for the others at the moment however James Lee is gearing up to animate Ferrari at some point in the near future so I’ll keep you updated with that as it comes along.
